Memories.....of the way we were

I'm watching the second period of game five of the 2008 playoffs against Boston on the NHL network.  I'm beside myself.  Price has made some amazing saves.  I missed this game as I was on vacation at the time.  Who could have possibly predicted the mess that would follow in 2009?

I'm going to watch game seven against the Bruins at 10:00 P.M. for one last look at them, then it's time to move on and get with the program, rookie training camp begins tomorrow.

Price was poised to be a big star at this time, then it somehow slipped away. I'd sure like to know why. Is he a partier, or he started believing his press clippings, or he lost all his confidence, or he's not as great as we thought, or he has something else on his mind. It won't matter at all who we brought in this year, all the new faces, or even Vinny Lecavalier - if Price doesn't get back to normal it's all for nothing.

Game 6 - we included a prayer for the Habs to beat the Bruins in our seder. Naturally the negative vibes eminating from my uncle forced that prayer to be answered in game 7. What a jerk he is.

I missed four of the Boston games and the first two against the Flyers. I'm seeing them for the first time today. I'm at the end of my 12 step grieving programme. As far as Price is concerned, he was fine up until he suffered the ankle injury. He came back to soon to play in the All Star game, I think if we had a Bowman instead of a Carbo Price would have been told he wasn't playing. He never regained his form after that. I'm sure this guy is going to be fine, especially with a better defense in front of him and he's a year older and wiser.
