The Vegas nightlife is killing me.........

Two nights in a row and I'm wide awake at 2:30 in the morning and no, it's not because I'm partying and gambling, I'm having a hard time adjusting to a three hour time change.  Thank God I went to Australia a few years ago, now it would probably take me a month to recover from a 16 hour difference.  *Yawn*

My cousins are joining me in Vegas for a few days, they fly in tonight.  Imagine, the last time the three of us were here together was 1978!  Back when the dinosaurs still roamed the earth, shag was the carpet of choice  and Jerry freaking Lewis was one of the top dinner shows, which of course we went to!   It was fun, I was a big Gerry Lewis fan when I was a kid, so it was a novelty to see him live.  (I just checked Google, he's still alive, I wasn't sure.)

I've been back a few times, the landscape has changed dramatically in 32 years, my cousins won't recognize the place.  Back in the day, the MGM Grand, Caesars Palace and the Flamingo were the hot spots.  They're all still in existence, only much bigger and better.  We'll be out and about for the next four days, exploring all the newer casinos, sampling some of the great eating establishments and fitting in some retail therapy at the outlet stores.  There's a gaggle of shows to choose from too, I'm giving the x-rated hypnotist a wide berth this time around, I still have nightmares about blowup dolls.

If I manage to stay awake this afternoon, I'll catch the Habs' game on Versus. I wish they were playing in Washington though, their playoff win record on home ice is downright scary.  But you never now, the stars and the bars on the slot machine may align and they (I) will win big.  Maybe.  Please?
