And now for something completely different.......

Our Christmas plans took a different path this year.  Mr. Moey has been battling  a cold for the past week, so we didn't think it would be a good idea to risk having his 91 year old mother over.  We decided to switch our traditional turkey with all the trimmings for our New Year's fare and do the turkey thing next weekend with his mum.   However I've had a dry, hacking cough since last Thursday and the full force of the flu decided to strike on Christmas day.  By early evening I'd  mustered up just enough energy to open a tin of soup pour moi and put a frozen lasagna in the microwave for Mr. Moey.  Good times indeed!  First time ever that I haven't had turkey on Christmas day, with the exception of one year that we celebrated Christmas at the Bitter End Yacht Club in the British Virgin Islands.  The sun and sailing more than made up for the lack of a turkey dinner.

We did manage to salvage a little bit of the Christmas spirit (for the furkid's sake) by opening our gifts and watching a couple of Christmas movies.

Look what Santa brought!

Clicquot's look of disgust, the toys aren't edible......

Good things do come in Ogilvy boxes!

After a long day of eating, playing & sleeping, a serious cat nap was in order.......

Moey, all the best to you and Mr. Moey. If he has a cold, keep him in the basement or garage so you don't get germs. We went another route here this year with Christmas food. We decided to have ribeye steak instead. It was great and will probably do it again next year. Happy New Year Moey. May it be just excellent for you and yours.

Best wishes to you too Dennis. I didn't catch MM's cold, I have the flu. Not fun. Hoping to feel better by New Year.
