<i>In the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_Stanley_Cup_Finals" title="1993 Stanley Cup Finals">1993 Stanley Cup Finals</a>, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Kings" title="Los Angeles Kings">Los Angeles Kings</a> led 2-1 when the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_Canadiens" title="Montreal Canadiens">Montreal Canadiens</a> suspected Kings player <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_McSorley" title="Marty McSorley">Marty McSorley</a>'s stick was too curved. After the stick was examined, McSorley was penalized two minutes for playing with illegal equipment and Montreal tied the game on the ensuing power-play. Carried by the curse-establishing goal, Montreal won the 1993 Stanley Cup. No Canadian hockey team has won the Stanley Cup since the Montreal in ’93. Nine times out of ten I watch the first five minutes and end up deleting it. During my week off at Christmas, I came across this little gem. It's about two British friends that embark on a road trip to England's Lake District. I'm a quick study. I have to say that Mr. M redeemed himself in spades in the food and wine department. I usually do all the grocery shopping and cooking so in a previous post I whined about Mr. M's one and only contribution for the holiday season, Guinness. He brought home these goodies and two cases of wine. No cooking for me on New Year's Eve, I just threw a package of cheese fondue in a pot and cut up a baguette.<br /><br /><br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hnXfJw6Tmjc/TwBqojjweBI/AAAAAAAAA5k/Lp8sHDtw39M/s1600/NEWYEAR2012+001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320px" rea="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hnXfJw6Tmjc/TwBqojjweBI/AAAAAAAAA5k/Lp8sHDtw39M/s320/NEWYEAR2012+001.jpg" width="239px" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><strong>But of course........</strong></td></tr></tbody></table><br /> <br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kxWurlLgdGw/TwBqxAOA1WI/AAAAAAAAA5s/Beq1cxsVT-g/s1600/NEWYEAR2012+002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="239px" rea="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kxWurlLgdGw/TwBqxAOA1WI/AAAAAAAAA5s/Beq1cxsVT-g/s320/NEWYEAR2012+002.jpg" width="320px" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><strong>Fine cheese, tipsy olives (in vermouth) fresh foie gras</strong></td></tr></tbody></table> <br /> <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gJUKymhm1rY/TwBrAyW5akI/AAAAAAAAA50/_j3Ia5tgS-o/s1600/MATISSE.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="239px" rea="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gJUKymhm1rY/TwBrAyW5akI/AAAAAAAAA50/_j3Ia5tgS-o/s320/MATISSE.JPG" width="320px" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><strong>New Year's Eve 2011, 11:55 PM He's usually fast asleep but I found him sitting here....</strong></td></tr></tbody></table> <br />As for the Habs, they are what they are.
