Joisey shores update.......

I had lofty ambitions about posting every other day while enjoying a quick beach getaway.  Unfortunately on the Tuesday I came down with a rotten cold, so there's not a lot of blogging material and quite honestly I didn't have the energy nor the inspiration.

The weather was great for the entire eight days.  Very hot and humid, but there was a lovely breeze during the day to make it very tolerable to sit back and catch some rays.  The ocean was nippy but nice if you just wanted a quick dip to cool off.

Mr. Moey did an admirable job of being a single parent while I was away keeping the furkids fed and becoming an expert poop scooper. One thing I failed to mention before I left is that it's not necessary to dump the entire 12 kilos of kitty litter into the tray at one time.  The smaller furkids looked like they were drowning in quicksand when they attempted to do their business.  It's probably a good thing the clumping doesn't  work instantaneously or they would have been anchored to the bottom with little cement shoes around their paws.  But all in all I can't complain, they were happy and healthy and the head count remained the same.

So the countdown begins until the next beach vacation, Grand Cayman in October.  With the weather we've been having so far this summer, it can't come soon enough.

She's back..............

And off to the Joisey shores tomorrow morning for a week long vacation.  Will be reporting in daily with pics, restaurant and shopping reviews.

Do you know what would be my dream job?  Doing an "On Location with the Habs" column following Les Boys on their road games.  Giving Moey's two cents on the game and reporting on the best places to eat, stay and shop in each city, from budget to luxury.
I wonder if the Montreal Gazette or The Suburban would be interested in something like that.  Hey, a girl can dream can't she?

I do have a small glimmer of hope, the Gazette actually pays Jack Todd to write his *ahem* stuff, so one has to believe that anything is possible.

Hallelujah!

I love this rendition of Leonard Cohen's song Hallelujah.  The first time I heard it was in a scene from "The West Wing", which before it was cancelled was Mr. & Mrs. Moey's favorite show.  Sadly, Jeff Buckley accidentally drowned when he was just 30 years of age.

However, the real reason behind this post is - we finally have water in our swimming pool.  Hallelujah.

Thank you God!

Not because Jaro is leaving Montreal, but the ridiculous and never ending goalie controversy is now officially over.

Jaro, thanks for the memories, you gave us an amazing playoff run and the most excitement Hab's fans have seen in these parts in years.  I wish you the best of luck with your new team.

It's a beautiful sunny day at Chez Moey's and I don't intend to spend it wasting time speculating about how Carey Price will do in October, because there's one thing that I know with absolute certainty.  I've been blogging about the Habs for the past two years and I've come to the conclusion that at the end of the day I know diddly squat.

My time will be much better spent soaking up some rays and catching up on my latest magazines.  That's what summer is for and I'm amazed at a lot of fans who wish it was October already.  I guess I'm not a "real" fan, thank God for that too, it means I still have my sanity.
